Mylapore Times Features my Mission to Protect Senior Citizens from Cyber Fraud

I am delighted and deeply humbled to share that Mylapore Times , a popular, free English-language weekly newspaper and local news portal based in Chennai, India, has featured my contribution in promoting cybercrime awareness, particularly my mission of educating senior citizens on protecting themselves from cyber fraud. Report enclosed

Over the past several years, I have been working with a simple belief:

Cyber awareness is the strongest defence against cybercrime.

Technology has made our lives easier, but it has also created new opportunities for fraudsters. Senior citizens, homemakers, and first-time digital users are often targeted because cyber criminals exploit trust, lack of awareness and unfamiliarity with technology.

That is why I have dedicated myself to spreading cyber security awareness through free educational initiatives.

My professional experience in the Banking industry, followed by a long career in Information Technology and the privilege of serving as the President of the Cyber Society of India (CySI) made me realize that technology alone cannot stop cybercrime and that

Awareness and Education are very important.

This realization inspired me to devote my time to educating people on safe digital practices.

During the last three years, I have conducted FREE online cyber security awareness programmes for more than 500 senior citizens, homemakers, retired bank executives and members of the public.

I have also been invited to deliver lectures and awareness sessions at Universities, Educational institutions, Community organisations and professional forums across India.

To make cyber security practices accessible to everyone, I regularly publish educational videos in my YouTube channel Kapalis Canvas, where I analyze cyber threats in simple terms and explain practical ways to stay safe online.

Every cyber fraud prevented is a family protected from financial and emotional distress.

My mission is to make Cyber security Awareness simple, practical and accessible to everyone—especially senior citizens, Homemakers  and first-time digital users.

Together, we can build a safer digital society where awareness becomes the first line of defense.

A Word of Gratitude

I sincerely thank Mylapore Times team for recognising and highlighting this important mission.

I am also grateful to everyone who has attended my Awareness programmes, watched my videos, shared my content and encouraged this journey.

Your support motivates me to continue spreading cyber safety awareness.

Together Towards a Safer Cyber World.
